Want to study at ASKORIA : How to apply ?

To study or complete a traineeship at ASKORIA, as incoming student, you will be supported by our International Office and coordinators, in three cities : Lorient, Rennes and Saint-Brieuc.

DISCOVER OUR REGISTRATION AND ON-GOING PROCESS

The International Project Manager together with the international coordinators ensure that :

Any foreign student interested in studying at ASKORIA or acheiving an internship with the support of ASKORIA will get :

  • General information,
  • In contact with the right person(s),
  • In contact with a pedagogical referent,
  • Information concerning the registration process.

Any foreign student willing to start the registration process will have to first send to the International Office :

  • A Student Application Form completed and signed by the pedagogical referent (the form is transmitted by ASKORIA upon student’s request),
  • A fully completed Europass CV.

Any foreign student willing to start the registration process will have to first send to the International Office :

  • Support in searching for an traineeship,
  • A proposal of selected courses corresponding to the student’s needs,
  • Welcome and support concerning practical and administrative issues

Practical issues :

  • Arrival practical support : train station, airport, …
    Our staff can even pick you up at the train station, airport, …

  • Information  and support about sports, cultural and leisure activities

Administrative issues :

  • Housing benefits (agreement with the CROUS : Centre Régional des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires.
  • Support in dealing with administrative questions (insurance, transports, CAF : Caisse des allocations familiales)
  • Health information and support (cost, process)
  • ASKORIA Student Card offering  free access to our library (free from deposit costs + free photocopies)

Pedagogical issues :

  • Mentoring by one or two French students + one trainer from ASKORIA
  • Individual Presentation to ASKORIA’s staff
  • Support in selecting adequate courses
  • Possibility to be delivered French courses by the CIREFE (Centre International Rennais d’Etudes de Français from the University of Rennes 2)
  • An agreement has been signed between ASKORIA and the CIREFE : 5 ECTS credits can be obtained under conditions of assiduity and validated results
  • ASKORIA finances language courses up to 150 Euros /semester for any foreign student
  • Support by the mentoring trainer in written works and evaluation process
  • Working support through films and videos in French related to our French social work
  • Regular meetings with the mentoring trainer during the mobility to ensure continuity and ongoing pedagogical support
  • Learning Agreement or Contract of Studies elaborated by the ERASMUS + Coordinator when relevant before arrival and adjusted during the first 15 days

By the end of the mobility at ASKORIA :

  • Delivery of the study contract to the student and transmission of the document to the student’s international office in the relevant timeframe,
  • Certificate of attendance,
  • Delivery of a transcript of records (evaluation details and correspondances),
  • Copies of courses and traineeship evaluations,
  • Delivery of European credits when relevant
